Forum ENERGY FRESH 2009 in Russia
On 23-24, September SBCD Expo Company held the Central International Forum on alternative, renewable energy sources ENERGY FRESH 2009, which included specialized events – Exhibition and Congress.
Along with Russian manufacturers, representatives from 14 countries of the world (Great Britain, Austria, Germany, India, Ukraine, France, Japan, Baltic countries, etc.), regional and municipal authorities, leading Russian and international industrial companies, scientific and research institutes, project-designing offices – more than 200 organizations participated in the Forum.
Wind and solar installations, photodiode illumination, electric cars, electric motorbikes, mobile solar batteries etc. were represented at the Exhibition.
Georgiy Leontiev, member of State Duma Committee on Energy, Chairman of Sub-Committee on small-scale power generation opened the Congress and gave a presentation on perspectives of development of alternative energy in Russia.
According to Georgiy Leontiev’s words «there is an assignment from the President to the Government till the end of 2009 to define the Government’s position as for introduction of alternative energy sources to municipal energy sector».
Mr. Leontiev paid special attention to the perspectives of development of alternative energy in Russia. Renewable energy sources have been announced one of the energetic priorities in Russia. Alternative energy must be an impulse for economic development of the country and solve a number of global tasks. He also added that the Government is planning to put heat, wind and bio energy out to tender in order to understand where to invest the budget money.
The Government is bound to lay stress on Russian developments and production and also on production of joint Russian and foreign companies, stated G. Leontiev.
Director of State Autonomous Centre of Energy Conservation and New Technologies Valeriy Naumenko has attracted close attention to the questions of energy conservation and introduction of renewable energy sources using the example of Krasnodar Krai.
«Increasing energy efficiency is the question of economic and ecological safety in our country» - stated Deputy Chief Executive of National Agency of Low-Rise and Cottage Construction Alexandra Mochalova.
«It is a crime to erect new buildings using old technologies. It is a crime to postpone upgrading housing and public utilities complex» - she added.
«It is necessary for the Russian Federation to obtain considered and gradually fulfilled policy of energy conservation, based not only on promotion of energy efficiency technologies and using strict measures for negligence, but paying attention to complex advocacy».
According to words of Valeriy Tropinin, Director of «E4 Group», most perspective renewable energy source is solar power. The sun is the most powerful electric power station in the world.
As it is estimated by specialists, in 4 years solar battery power will cost no more than 20 Eurocents for 1 kW, as told by Senior Project Manager from United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Mr. Hans Jansen.
Representatives from such companies as SIEMENS, ALSTOM, Woltag, Mitsubishi, RusHydro and many other participated in the Congress ENERGY FRESH 2009.
At the official opening ceremony Mr. Günter Benik (Energieteam AG), Alexandra Mochalova (NAMIX), Oleg Viter (Alstom) greeted the participants and guests of the Forum.
On 24, September during the Forum the round-table «Nuclear Power Plants: Technologies of Safety» was organized and held by Russian Research Centre "Kurchatovsky Institute" and «ATOMCON» Journal.
The Forum held by SBCD Expo was highly esteemed by Russian and international business circles, leading representatives of professional society; it allowed Russia to announce itself as an active participant of world markets of alternative energy.
Forum Events
On 23 September during the Forum P. Ponkratiev, Head of Renewable Energy Sources department of RusHydro conducted negotiations with D. Kraev, a representative of Hyundai Company. The parties discussed participation of the Korean company in building binary unit and wind park at Russkiy Island (Vladivostok city).

The Forum was visited by delegations from State Duma of the Russian Federation, «Mosenergo», «INTER RAO ES», Industrial Alliance «RosProm», scientific and research institutes; wiring, telecommunication, developing and construction companies, architects.
